The Southern Connecticut Owls (also Southern Connecticut State Owls, Southern Connecticut State University Owls, and SCSU Owls) are the athletic teams that represent Southern Connecticut State University, located in New Haven, Connecticut, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Owls' 17 athletic teams, seven for men and 10 for women, compete as members of either the Northeast-10 Conference or the Eastern College Athletic Conference. SCSU has been a member of the NE-10 since 2000.

There have been 10 NCAA National Championship Teams at Southern, as well as 75 NCAA Individual Champions in the sports of Track and Field, Swimming and Gymnastics.

Southern Connecticut State University’s basketball team, known as the Owls, is a competitive and dedicated program representing the university in NCAA Division II athletics. Based in New Haven, Connecticut, the team is recognized for its strong work ethic, disciplined play, and commitment to excellence on the court. The Owls have a rich history of developing talented players and competing at a high level within the Northeast-10 Conference. With a focus on teamwork, strategic gameplay, and community engagement, Southern Connecticut State’s basketball team continues to strive for success both on and off the court, fostering a passionate fan base and a proud athletic tradition.
